Government Regulation No. 34 of 2021 on the Employment of Foreign Workers

Summary

PP 34/2021 governs the employment of foreign workers (TKA): employers' obligations and prohibitions, approval of the Foreign Worker Utilization Plan (RPTKA) with its extension and amendment, the Foreign Worker Compensation Fund (DKPTKA), stay permits for foreign workers, education and training of Indonesian counterpart workers, Indonesian language training for foreign workers, reporting, and sanctions.

It revokes Presidential Regulation (Perpres) 20/2018 and took effect on 1 April 2021. Together with the immigration rules, it forms the work permit and KITAS (limited stay permit card) process for foreign employees.
